Siemens E88CC - Here it is folks; one of the finest 6922/E88CC ever made. I found these in Europe in a very faraway country. Made in Germany around 1970. A-frame getter, gold pins. This tube is characterized by a dynamic bass and a vivid up-front midrange that is sure to please. Very musical, but if you're looking for warmth, try the Amperex 7308 or Ediswan CV2492 instead.
Very quiet and low in microphony. I found a nice stash of these on my latest tube hunting trip. I have enough so we can supply a nice mixture of gold and platinum grade. These work well in products that run the tubes a little harder, but it's still a 6922, so if you hear a slight "TING!" when you flip switches or tap your preamp don't worry... it's normal. If you have an Audible Illusions product though... you maybe want to stick with Russian made tubes.
Platinum grade - The best of the best. Lowest noise and microphony with the tightest triode balance we have available. This is typically 10% or tighter, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Gold grade - Low noise and microphonics with a triode balance typically between 15% and 20%, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Driver/Buffer grade - Lowest noise but not the lowest in microphony. Triode balance will be similar to Gold grade.
This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.
If you have a preamp or phonostage, you need at least Gold grade.
