The IsoAcoustics Puck is sold in packs of two and each puck is rated to support up to 20 lbs. Use three or four pucks to support a bookshelf speaker or studio monitor. For heavier speakers with screw on spikes or feet, check out Gaia I, Gaia II, and Gaia III. Pucks also work wonders on all components, not only speakers. One customer said the pucks clearly performed better than Stillpoints on his source components!
The Pucks are machined units that incorporate IsoAcoustics’ patented design to provide a high degree of speaker isolation, while resisting lateral movement and oscillations, to maintain alignment with the listening position. Internal reflections from the hard supporting surface are attenuated resulting in greater sound clarity and openness.
The IsoAcoustic Puck features the same technology in the Gaia screw-on isolation feet.
Optimal results are heard by installing these units with the logo facing the listening position, or rotated 180 degrees, to align the isolators with the speaker’s motive forces, lift and place the speakers into position as the GAIA lower isolator will adhere to the supporting surface:
“When a speaker is placed on a hard surface, secondary internal reflections result. Any artifacts of this smear that is similar in the two channels are perceived to be in the center, causing the sound stage to collapse. The Puck isolators eliminate this smear resulting in a larger 3-dimensional sound stage.”
