The Clearaudio Innovation Wood is a brilliant achievement and sets new price/performance standards in several areas. Its pitch stability is stunning... I applaud Clearaudio for migrating so much innovative technology from its Statement turntable down to more affordable products like the Innovation Wood.

The Innovation Compact Wood is based on the technology of the Clearaudio Innovation Wood turntable, but uses a single plinth as opposed to the stainless steel sub-platter found on the Innovation Wood. Its resonance-optimized chassis shape is based on the proven success of Clearaudio’s three-point design — a combination of Panzerholz, aluminum layers, and aluminum pods. The Innovation Compact Wood uses Clearaudio’s patented CMB (Ceramic Magnetic Bearing) technology, where the platter magnetically levitates on an inverted bearing attached to a low-friction ceramic shaft. The high-torque DC motor is equipped with electronic OSC (Optical Speed Control). The high-density, dynamically balanced 2.75″ polyoxymethylene (POM) platter provides excellent dimensional tability.

The Innovation Compact Wood is dual tonearm capable and comes with the Clearaudio Magnify tonearm. Some images above show the Clearaudio Universal tonearm, which is not included at this price.

Black or silver plinth with wood trim is standard. The Black with Panzerholz piano black plinth trim is a $350 up-charge and is a special order item.

Universal Tonearm

High precision ball bearings in the vertical and horizontal axes, a carbon arm tube. Easy azimuth and VTA setting, and an optional VTA-LIFTER that allows the adjustment of VTA while playing a record. Available in 9-inch and 12-inch lengths.

Magnify Tonearm

Features a hybrid bearing on high-precision balls and magnets. The headshell and azimuth can be easily fine-tuned, and with the optional VTA-Lifter it is possible to adjust the VTA even during playback. 9.4" length.
