Breaking new price barriers for SME, the new Model 10 turntable/tonearm combination will prove to be a formidable contender against any competition. New for SME is the use of a low, "virtually liquid" durometer elastomer material for the suspension system and a round sub-chassis to reduce resonant planes. The new Model 10 tonearm is unique in that it uses the cast magnesium arm tube from the Series V, and the detachable headshell from the Series 309, making the Model 10 tonearm both high performance and versatile. The Model 10 precision pick-up arm derived from the popular Series 300 Model 309 is only for use with this turntable and has special features including:
