Loading... Please wait...Want the ultimate? Classic Ultralinear all-tube sound, with all the body and glory that you could ask for. For an additional $550 over the EL-34 equipped Prologue Six, you will get an amplifier that has more power, better bass authority, and a little more air on top, but never edgy.
In addition, the ProLogue Seven comes specially equipped with the following upgrades:
The ProLogue Seven starts with the same basic topology as the award-winning ProLogue Five stereo power amplifier. The monoblocks reach a new level of performance using a unique dual-feedback topology: Cross-coupled current feedback for superior impulse behavior and gain stability. Next a slight amount of negative feedback is used to achieve exact gain setting, low distortion, and low output impedance. This effectively cancels the negative by-products associated with both feedback circuits. The end result utilizes all the benefits of feed-back, without all the drawbacks.
Finally, the monoblocks integrate a newly-designed, wide-band, low-loss, output transformers, built to handle even the most difficult speaker loads. A two Ohm output tap is added for additional flexibility.
Like all ProLogue amplifiers, it boasts:

"For what it's worth, the ProLogue 7s played just as loud as my McIntosh solid state amplifier that is rated at 200 wpc. This is a VERY impressive ... pair of amplifiers."

These amps look great and sound even better. It took a little
over 24 hours for them to find their footing, but once they did they came on
like a tour de force. They are a perfect mate for the esl-63's, top to bottom.
In fact, they are so good at the bottom that I have disconnected my subwoofer.
For the first time with these speakers, not only don't I need it, but they sound
way better without it. Taut deep bass is not what quads are known for, but with
these amps that's just what I'm getting, in addition to the glorious midrange,
sweet treble, deep soundstage and rich, full tonal colors I was hoping for.
I've owned audio research, vtl, yba and several others. The build quality on
the primaluna is far better than any other tube amp I've had in my system, and
the sound is unequalled, even with the stock tubes still in place.
I'm sure they'll continue to improve with more break in, but I'd be thrilled
even if they didn't.
Thanks, Kevin. You done me right.
