Loading... Please wait...Genalex 12AT7 - Military stock Genalex 12AT7s, made in 1982 in Great Britain. They are branded CV6091. Black plates, round dish getter. We've just about sold through these... much quicker than I thought we would! All that's left are Driver Grade... so if you were hoping to try these out in a preamp or phonostage, this tube will not be the way to go.
Platinum grade - No longer available
Gold grade - No longer available.
Driver grade - Lowest noise but not the lowest in microphony. Triode balance will be similar to Gold grade.
This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.
If you have a preamp or phonostage, you need at least Gold grade.

More of everything good,
More transparent, more at ease, more extension, more balance, more dynamics, more musical...
It just amazes me that one tube could really be that much better than a lot of other very good brands but this is something very special.

This tube sounds gorgeous, used it for a phase inverter tube in my silverface twin reverb. It went up against G.E., Bugle boy, westinghouse, matsushita and mullard 12at7's. Burned them all to the ground. A clear winner to my ears. If you do have the means, i highly recommend you pick some up. Happy Zach

For someone who thinks a phase inverter does not effect your guitar tone...Have Kevin match a Genalex up for you, if your amp calls for it. This tube will change your mind about how a phase inverter tube effects your tone. The Very Best... Dale, Gulfport, Mississippi
