Cary Audio/Silver Oak Model 1 (blem) - Beautiful 2-way transmission-line loudspeaker. These were designed and hand-built by Cary bigwig Dennis Had. These speakers use only the best parts including top of the line SEAS drivers, premium crossover components, and a gorgeous real silkwood veneer finished in hand-coated high gloss laquer. Now... the laquer has an imperfection in the coating on the back and one of the sides (in regular lighting it looks more like natural variations in the woodgrain), and two very tiny nicks. Neither blem detracts from the beauty of the speaker.

The imperfection in the clearcoat could be an easy project for a woodworker to restore the full glory of the veneer. Uncle Kevvy has a pair of these in his office system running on a special all-triode SLI-80 F1 and the sound is amazing. The transmission-line cabinet creates incredible depth and makes them very easy to place in the room.

Cary never really set a retail price for these, but it was going to be around $6000/pair. You can get them today for $2995.
