Audio Electronics AE-3 DJH (factory sealed) - Brand new A stock with full warranty! This preamp was sold for $1599 factory direct by Cary and Upscale Audio.  But still not enough profit.  When AES was going to stop making the AE-3, we had them build more  DJH signature models because it's been such a popular kick-ass, take-no-prisoners hot-rod of a preamp. Perfect with tubed or solid state amps, even amps like Pass Labs Aleph which can be a pain.  I have not encountered a single amp it doesn't sing with.   

It uses 6CA4 or 6X4 tube rectifire, for all the tube glory you could ask for.  Direct coupled. so it has real bandwidth without being bitey, and will kick the snot out of stuff that costs tons more.  Bass to die for.  Premium parts including Noble, Solen, Jensen, and Multicap.   Hand-made in North Carolina by Cary Audio.
