Before you scroll: Out of all the brands we carry, which do you think is one of the oldest, the one celebrating its 110th anniversary? (Hint, it's not Western Electric, which is older, nor Tannoy which is younger.)
A few days after celebrating America's 247th year, we thought we'd highlight some of the great anniversary celebration products we have at Upscale.
The anniversaries range from 10th to 110th, and first up is an all-new product made just for at 50th year celebration.
Naim Audio Nait 50 Limited Edition Integrated Amplifier
This year, Naim Audio celebrates its 50th anniversary and has chosen something that will make its many die-hard fans very, very happy.
The celebrated English company has reissued its first famous, iconic integrated amp, the Nait 1. Known as the "chrome bumper" series, the Nait 1 and other early Naim products are highly sought after, commanding healthy used prices. The original Nait was rated at just 13 W and was the product that popularized the notion of "Naim watts." Naim's focus on big power supplies and high-current, fast transient capabilities was unusual at the time, and their amps always surprised with the amount of slam and presence they delivered.
At 25 W, the Nait 50 is quite a bit more powerful than the original, and (Naim promises) an improvement on it whilst preserving its DNA. One notable new feature is a 1/4” jack headphone output, making this an excellent desktop system. There is a discrete transistor MM phonostage on board and two other line inputs. (In keeping with Naim tradition, the two line inputs are DIN.)
Like all Naim products, the Nait 50 is handcrafted in Salisbury, England, and the front panel is a delightful throwback to one of the most famous hi-fi products of all time.

Bluesound NODE X
Bluesound invites you to celebrate its 10th anniversary with a silver-finish anniversary edition of the ever-popular NODE.

Klipsch Klipschorn AK6 75th Anniversary
It may have been a couple of years since Klipsch celebrated its anniversary, but we are still excited about this exceptional edition of the mighty Khorn. There are just 75 pairs of this coveted edition, and we have one!
The 75th Anniversary edition comes with a logo made of rhodium, sterling silver, and hand-applied enamel with a single diamond. A lambswool grille complements the real teak wood veneer, and there are a bunch of collectible extras in addition to the laser-engraved commemorative plaque. The goodies include a 75th-anniversary book and poster, an engraved pair of Klipsch T5 II earphones, a set of four leather coasters, and a certificate of authenticity. Also, you get a free one-year membership to the Klipsch Museum of Audio History and a three-month Qobuz membership.
Denon DCD-A110 110th Anniversary Edition SACD Player
Did you get it right? Denon, founded in 1910, is one of our oldest brands, and in 2020 it celebrated its 110th anniversary. We have just one left from their magnificent celebration, the Denon DCD-A110 SACD player in a limited edition silver-graphite finish with a certificate of authenticity included. Quad Burr Brown DACs with FPGA processing offer true audiophile performance. There are separate power supplies for digital and analog circuits that are overbuilt using a challenging discrete design with large capacitors. Have no fear about the transport: an aluminum disc tray is housed in a copper mass-loaded mechanism for maximum isolation and longevity.
Audio Technica ATH-WB2022 60th Anniversary Headphones
Japanese company Audio Technica was founded in 1962 and celebrated its 60th anniversary last year. One of its anniversary products is a closed-back, audiophile, wireless wooden headphone. Made in Japan, the ATH-WB2022 is exquisitely crafted from layered flame maple, walnut, and mahogany. The earpads and headband are made from Alcantara, a sustainable material with a soft, comfortable texture.
The audio output system uses independent DACs, output stages, and battery power for each channel. The ATH-WB2022 comes in a case made by high-end luggage brand Zero Halliburton.
Polk Audio Reserve R200 50th Anniversary Edition Large Bookshelf Loudspeaker
Born in 1972, Polk Audio celebrated 50 last year with an anniversary edition of its R200 speakers. Only 1,000 were made, and we have just two pairs left.
The commemorative plaque and upgraded gold-plated binding posts contrast beautifully with the dark cherry cabinet. The plaque sports the serial number and Matthew Polk's signature. Featuring Polk's flagship driver array from the Reserve line, the anniversary edition puts Polk's clean, detailed sound into a beautiful package.
