Tungsram 12AX7/ECC83
-
Due to very limited stocks, we are limiting sales of this tube to customers who are re-tubing equipment they purchased new from us. Orders for tubes going into gear not purchased from us will be cancelled.
Very low noise, very low in microphony, and one of the most beautiful sounding 12AX7's on the planet. Neutral and smooth. Excellent bass, and long life. We are getting low on these, so don't bust my nuts on the price.
Gold grade -
Low noise and microphonics with a triode balance typically between 15% and 20%, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Platinum grade -
The best of the best. Lowest noise and microphony with the tightest triode balance we have available. This is typically 10% or tighter, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Driver grade -
Lowest noise but not the lowest in microphony. Triode balance will be similar to Gold grade.
This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.
If you have a preamp or phonostage, you need at least Gold grade.

Fantastic and versatile!

I''ve put a bunch more hours on this tube, and it''s the first that I love with both the Etymotic ER-4S AND the Sennheiser HD 650! (Other tubes I''ve tried sound good with one or the other, but never both.) It sounds detailed, neutral, and extended on both headphones!
Excellent tube!

I use this tube in a Mapletree HD2 heaphone amplifier with Etymotic ER-4S earphones. It''s the best tube I''ve tried yet, of about a dozen NOS and current-production. I like it because it offers excellent frequency extension into the treble and the bass both, and the frequency response seems neutral. The combination of neutrality with excellent frequency extension on both ends really appeals to me.
Simply Incredible

These tubes are everything the description says. They are smooth, neutral, detailed and have incredible bass. I am using the Tungsrams and the Mullard Old Logo in my Primaluna Prologue 1. The result is simply astonishing. It quite literally was like getting a new amp. It is one of those musical epiphanies that has you going through your whole music collection because you are hearing things you never heard before from music you''ve listened to thousands of times. Simply incredible!
