Description
Russian 6H8C/6SN7
- 1960's vintage. These are sooooo cool. When I opened the musty boxes, I felt so much like Nikita Kruschev I almost started pounding my shoe on the table!
Gold grade -
Low noise and microphonics with a triode balance typically between 15% and 20%, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Platinum grade -
The best of the best. Lowest noise and microphony with the tightest triode balance we have available. This is typically 10% or tighter, but may be higher depending on available stock.
Driver grade -
Lowest noise but not the lowest in microphony. Triode balance will be similar to Gold grade.
This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.
If you have a preamp or phonostage, you need at least Gold grade.

Here's a note from a customer:
"The re-tube is complete. This has been the most cost effective upgrade imaginable. Highly recommended to anyone with an older VK-60 with age and a mix of tubes. The 6C33's from BAT are expensive and can be gotten from other places for less. Matching not important with the vk-60, so can save a bit by shopping. The tubes all come from same plant in Russia. The 6SN7's from Upscale are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!"

This tube is amazing - I have just removed my 1943 Tungsol JAN VT-231 (supposed to be the holy grail) which I paid 400 USD for and I will honestly say that these Russian black based tubes have a much better bass than my Tungsols had, also I hear more detail and sounds that I never knew were there - I say to my self how on earth can it be possible now I am wondering what the metal base version would sound like!!!
