Description

Cifte 12AU7WA - - It turns out after we did some housekeeping we found another box of this very popular tube! 1959 vintage made in France by Mazda, one of the premier tube manufacturers in France and England. This tube is branded CIFTE which was the distributor to industry. They have an additional mica spacer and support above the typical top spacer. But forget that...the point is they stay quiet and they have a wonderful 3-D sense of space and a nice top end sparkle. Not the last word in warmth... so if that's your bag go with a Mullard instead.

Gold grade - Low noise and microphonics with a triode balance typically between 15% and 20%, but may be higher depending on available stock.

Platinum grade - The best of the best. Lowest noise and microphony with the tightest triode balance we have available. This is typically 10% or tighter, but may be higher depending on available stock.

Driver grade - Lowest noise but not the lowest in microphony. Triode balance will be similar to Gold grade.
This grade is only suitable for use in the driver stage of an amplifier, or the output/buffer stage of a DAC or CD Player.
If you have a preamp or phonostage, you need at least Gold grade.
